The Goodreads website and app have not been updated in ages, so in my spare time I gathered some ideas and started the process of recreating the landing page of the website. I researched the direct and the indirect competitors and I tried to achieve a fresh new look.

I started with the competitive analysis which compares five different book tracking and recommendation platforms: Goodreads, Bookly, Basmo, The StoryGraph, and BookSloth. Each platform has distinct strengths and weaknesses, catering to different types of readers based on their preferences for tracking, social interaction, or personalized recommendations.

I carefully reviewed their landing pages to understand how each platform aims to convert visitors into users. Additionally, I explored several other book tracking websites to gather insights on what makes a well-structured and effective website.
